Changelog · week of 1 September 2026

Eight things shipped.
One of them changes the pitch.

A promoter's command centre, a mission we can say in one sentence, prices anyone can read without a demo call, a contact book that fills itself, and a music hub. Here is all of it, in the order it matters.

We finally said what this is

ContentPad used to describe itself as a webOS. Accurate, and useless — it says what the thing is instead of what it replaces. So we rewrote the whole front of the house around one idea:

Every large company runs on systems where all the departments connect. You don't have those departments yet — so ContentPad gives you the tools they'd use, and the AI to cover the head count you lack.

There is a new Story page that makes the argument properly: the gap, the twelve departments and the real tools behind each one, and the part we think is actually different — the AI is scaffolding you are meant to grow out of. Most tools promise to replace the people you would hire. This one holds the gap until you can hire them, then gets out of the way.

Event OS grew a promoter's command centre

The biggest build of the week. Event OS was an event admin tool; it is now the thing you actually run a night from.

And the part that leaves the building: publish a night and it becomes a real page/n/amber-room-thursdays-sep-3 — server-rendered, so it previews properly in WhatsApp and iMessage, which is where these links actually travel. RSVP, guestlist requests or ticket tiers, your choice per night.

CPD Music — the top ten, on repeat

A music hub on the magazine. Ten videos and ten records, put up by the network and ranked by the desk, all playing in the page — no app, no account, no queue.

Paste a link from YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, Beatport or SoundCloud and it fills in its own artwork and title. Members submit, the desk ranks. It lives at contentpartiesanddeals.com/music and inside your dashboard as CPD Music — same chart, both places.

Worth knowing: Spotify shut off its charts API for new apps, and Beatport's is partner-only. So this chart is editorial on purpose — which is the point of a hub run by the people in it.

Careers, and an agent programme that shows its working

There is now a Careers link in the footer, and it goes somewhere real: agents.contentpad.io, rebuilt this week around one idea — you build your own agency on the platform you sell.

Your pipeline, deal rooms, invoices, calendar and boards are the product, so your demo is your Tuesday, every hour you spend getting good at it is billable twice, and your overheads are your rate card. Four income routes are costed line by line, with production help and platform fees taken out before the number you see.

And the long game: day one the AI is nine departments; as the work lands you need people more than prompts, and the people are already in the network you have been selling into.

Every price, in public

No demo call to find out the number. contentpad.io/pricing lists the whole ladder — Solo $60, Studio $150, Business $350, Scale $700 — what each includes, the credits that come with it, and Enterprise as its own band.

Extra seats are $29/mo. Credit packs are on the same page, and they taper the way they should: the bigger the pack, the lower the per-credit cost, and every subscription rung sits below the cheapest top-up, so subscribing is never the worse deal.

My Agency: everyone you brought in, in one roster

The people you have recruited used to sit in the middle of the referral and marketing links. They now have their own searchable roster — who joined, what plan they are on, and what each one pays you every month — with search, filters for paying/trial/free, and sorting.

We also fixed something that had been quietly lying to people: a failed read was being cached at the edge for 30 seconds, so an account with 22 recruits could be told it had none. It now says nothing rather than something false.

Booking links that preview, and bookings that carry a phone number

Two fixes that matter more than they sound.

Referrals become contacts on their own

Anyone who joins on your link now lands in your contact book automatically — linked, photographed and marked as joined — instead of existing only as a number on a stats card. If they were already in your book, the existing record is linked rather than duplicated.

We backfilled the ones who joined before this existed: 23 processed, 21 created, 2 linked, no errors.

In case you missed it

Travel is on the calendar

Announced last time and worth repeating, because it is still the one people find by accident: Travel Command already writes to your unified calendar. Trips, tickets and itineraries land on the same grid as your posts, projects, events and bookings — and a flight blocks your booking slots automatically, because free time is whatever is left after everything else.

All of it is live now.

Log in and it is already there. Not a member yet? The whole ladder is public, and so is the way in.
